Five-Year IT Strategy
Tech Assessment
Working with a charity based in the UK and Zambia, Clea provided a thorough assessment of their IT capacity and drew up a five-year strategy to enable staff members to work more effectively in collaboration, whether in the UK, Zambia or out in the field.
With board and senior staff approval given, this strategy improves upon their current IT setup and paves the way towards using dynamic technology to further boost their impact.
Office 365
Cloud Tech
Implementing Office 365 for a UK-based charity improved the everyday functionality and integration of the IT tools used to drive their projects forward.
Transitioning from on-premise Microsoft Office to the Cloud built the foundations for a more unified organisation despite the geographical differences. Access to applications such as Microsoft Sharepoint and Teams has facilitated more effective collaboration, enabling teams to better share files and communicate project goals and progress.
Salesforce Upgrade
Relationship Management
Clea scoped and implemented an upgrade to Salesforce Lightning and installed a Non-Profit Success Pack for an organisation which has impacted the lives of over 270,000 people in Zambia.
Transitioning from an effective but heavily-customised Classic version, this move provides more out-of-the-box functionality and so is simpler for the team to maintain and service. With staff training, all team members use the system for project and supporter management.
GDPR Implementation
Relationship Management
In line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which came into force in May 2018, Clea assisted a charity with the digital work required to ensure effective and comprehensive compliance.
With GDPR affecting several primary areas of the charity’s mission, from supporter data to project participant information, Clea began with an internal audit in order draft a strategy. Working with various platforms from Mailchimp to Salesforce, this work facilitated compliance across all areas of data and relationship management.

Mobile Development
Working with an organisation which has several ongoing projects throughout Zambia, Clea is working on a Cloud-based system that maps relevant data fields directly to Salesforce.
Building upon an existing digital system that uses the Poverty Probability Index framework, this project has made the M&E process much less laborious. Clea is now working on building in the 2017 updated PPI survey questions so the organisation can effectively organise their data pre- and post-update for an accurate comparison of baseline and follow-up information.

Working with a charity who work in rural Africa to improve access to safe water, Clea has assisted the organisation’s Zambia branch with the application for their charitable subscription of Office 365 from Tech Soup.
Implementing a transition to the Cloud based-version of Microsoft has helped resolve a long-standing email issue that had dampened productivity. Office 365 will build robust IT foundations so the organisation can better communicate and collaborate with team members despite differences in geographies.
